Commodity Analysis Supporting Enforcement (CASE) for Canada
Enable participants to provide timely and technically accurate advice to front-line export enforcement personnel regarding shipments of potentially export-controlled WMD-related commodities.
CASE uses scenario-based small-group exercises followed by lecture. Each participant will require access to a computer with internet access. Knowing that participants will face an infinite range of reachback requests, CASE imparts a process for providing technical assistance to front line officers that can be applied in many scenarios rather than attempting to anticipate all scenarios they may encounter.
Analysts and specialists responsible for providing “reachback” to export enforcement personnel.
Exposure to INECP’s Commodity Identification Training or WCO Strategic Trade Control Enforcement Training is highly recommended, but not required. Participants should be familiar with the concept of dual-use goods, have an aptitude for technical details, and have job duties requiring them to provide reachback support to customs inspectors and/or targeters.
